The Xbox Ultimate Game Sale is perhaps the largest sale on the platform in 2026 so far. Fans now only have three days before it ends on July 29, 2026.
AAA games like GTA V, Borderlands 4, Assassin's Creed Shadows, and more are available at a discount of 50% or more.
Given its scale, it is unlikely that so many titles would go on sale again at the same time, and at such huge discounts.
Here are some AAA games worth considering:
- Assassin's Creed Shadows - $31.49 (55% off)
- Battlefield 6 - $34.99 (50% off)
- Cyberpunk 2077 - $17.99 (70% off)
- GTA: The Trilogy (The Definitive Edition) - $19.79 (67% off)
- GTA V - $9.99 (50% off)
- Red Dead Redemption 2 - $19.99 (80% off)
- Silent Hill f - $34.99 (50% off)
- Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 One Year Anniversary Edition - $29.99 (70% off)

These titles represent only a fraction of the games on sale. The GTA Trilogy shows players the growth of a franchise, while GTA V shows them the most recent result of said growth.
Other notable titles like Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 and Battlefield 6 provide an unmatched multiplayer shooting experience.
However, they differ drastically in their themes. While BF6 is a realistic mil-sim FPS title, Space Marine 2 takes you through the galaxy fighting Tyranids and Chaos in third-person.
Red Dead Redemption 2 and Cyberpunk 2077 provide players with some of the most immersive open worlds. While the former is set in the Wild West, the latter thrusts players into a hyperfuturistic reality.
Finally, Silent Hill f is one of the most surreal horror experiences of all time. The massive sale has come amid Xbox's efforts to restructure and win fans back.
Xbox intensifies efforts to win players' trust back
Xbox had followed a multi-platform strategy for years. However, CEO Asha Sharma admitted in an X post that the multi-platform strategy did not give them the results they expected.
Game Pass and Xbox's exclusive lineup faced similar headwinds..
Now, the company is looking forward to improving the fan experience in multiple ways. Two exclusives have already been promised, with Gears of War: E-Day coming in 2026 and Clockwork Revolution coming in 2027.
The CEO has taken several big steps since being appointed to the position in February 2026. This includes cutting down the prices of Game Pass after its October 2025 increase and slashing 3,200 jobs.
"While we have made progress expanding the business and our margins, player and revenue growth has not yet met our ambition." Sharma had said in a post on April 30, 2026.
"We know we have work to do to earn every player today and into the future." The CEO said months before announcing the Xbox reset.
Now, the console giant is introducing backwards compatibility and achievements on PC, making many fans quite happy.
