The Epic Games Store has unveiled two new free games for May 2026. Enthusiasts can claim them between May 14 and May 21, 2026, as part of the mystery games event.

The Epic Games Store currently has Sunderfolk: Shadows Edition and The Telltale Batman: Shadows Edition available for free until May 21 at 8:30 PM.

Every few months, Epic Games kicks off its mystery games event, where they surprise fans with free games. The last event was back in December 2025.

Currently, the platform has also started teasing two more mystery games in addition to the two free games, with both expected to unlock in just over six days.

This amazing Batman narrative adventure includes 10 episodes from 2 seasons, as well as the Shadows Mode. It isn't an Arkham-style action adventure. Instead, it's a storytelling masterpiece from the developers of The Walking Dead.

The point-and-click graphic adventure follows Bruce Wayne and his alter-ego, Batman.

The Telltale Batman Shadows Edition is packed with episodes and experiences that define the genre. The critically acclaimed game is free on Epic Games Store until May 21, 2026.

Sunderfolk is a tactical table-top inspired RPG. This turn-based title allows you to play with up to 4 players at once. You can pick from various characters with different skills.

Strategy matters most in Sunderfolk; players must tactically plan their moves, power-ups, and turns.

Players can start their own campaign, engage with the game's narrative, or join its native online multiplayer mode. You can even play it using mobile phones as controllers.

Naturally, the Epic Games Store mystery games giveaway event is very popular among fans. The next set of games will be unveiled on May 21, 2026.
