This neo-noir detective-adventure game lets you play as LAPD officer Cole Phelps. The game has plenty of puzzles and investigation scenes, with interrogations of numerous suspects. You can catch if they are lying through a unique facial motion-capture technology. The game is set in an eerie and gritty 1947 Los Angeles.

The Neverhood(1996)

The Neverhood is a point-and-click classic that will make you think about all the things you can make and do with clay. Hoberg creates a world of clay, but makes a Klay man when he gets bored. Players play as Klay Man and unravel the beautiful animated world made up of almost 3.5 tons of clay!

Blade Runner(1997)

This game takes a unique take, instead of being an independent title, the game actually runs as a "sidequel" to the events happening in the 1992 film. Also, with features like the Knowledge Integration Assistant for finding clues and the ESPER machine for analyzing pictures, this noir-like game makes you feel like you are living in the future, even though the game itself is almost 30 years old now!

Return of the Obra Dinn(2018)

It looks like a ship sank mysteriously, along with 60 passengers. Your goal is to identify the cause of the sinking, determine the passengers' identities, and determine whether anyone is still alive. This pixelated black-and-white world will be unsettling for some, so take your steps carefully. The investigative part doesn't feel forced, and that makes this game eccentric.

The Secret of Monkey Island(1990)

Players get to play as a young and aspiring pirate, Guybrush Threepwood. Although the naming of the protagonist could have been better, what's good about this is literally the whole game. You get to explore the Caribbean and fight against the ghost pirate LeChuck, while also making a bond with Governor Elaine Marley. It has elements of humor wrapped up in intricate labyrinth-type puzzles. Players certainly need to be witty to complete this incredible cult-classic.

Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis(1992)

Well, a list of graphic adventure games is incomplete without mentioning the famous archaeologist, Indiana Jones. The game is set in 1939, and Jones must fight the Nazis again while searching for Atlantis and a newly discovered mineral called Orichalcum, which wields tremendous power. The SCUMM engine's puzzles make it fascinating, and it also offers three distinct gameplay paths: Team, Wits, and Fists.
