In a library that includes the likes of the Call of Duty franchise and the recent addition of College Football 26, it's hard to find the right game to play.

That's why we're looking at the top five games on the platform.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

If you're a CD Projekt Red fan, this game ranks at the top of the list, right next to Cyberpunk. And that's for good reason. This one was the biggest game in the franchise, and it lets you explore the Continent to the fullest while you quest to save Ciri from the Wild Hunt.

Outside of the main story, there are a ton of side quests and exploration to do, including finding Witcher sets to complete your gear. It's the perfect blend of solid gameplay with replayability.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33

This list can’t be completed without the Game of the Year winner on it. The game focuses on a group of adventurers who set out to stop the central antagonist, ‘The Paintress’, who looks to erase their age groups every Gommage(A yearly event) by writing a number on a monolith. Let’s say she writes 30, anyone who’s 30 and above will die.

What really stood out about this game was how it brought back the turn-based gameplay mechanic we loved with older Final Fantasy titles and still managed to retain the fast-paced gameplay.

Doom(2016)

Doom(2016) was the revival of the archaic and original Doom, which many considered to be in its bygone era. The recreation of the retro-styled game into a more dynamic game really aged well.

Bringing the single-player campaign goliath back into the field showed that retro games can reconquer when made with elegance. With the addition of music to its intense gameplay, Doom sustained in the era of multiple Battle Royale games.

Resident Evil Village

Before you get into Resident Evil Requiem, it might be time to catch up to one of Capcom's classics. After the horrors of the Bayou, Capcom rolled it back to a classical horror setting in a mysterious village. What follows is a terrifying adventure to save your daughter, Rose, in an action-packed game.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection

We can't end an Xbox Game Pass list without mentioning Halo. The Master Chief Collection provides us with multiple mainline games to play from, including Halo Reach. Players can relive those nostalgic moments and revisit them anytime.

Coming with classic multiplayer modes and reveling gameplay, those who have not yet completed the saga of the Master Chief can jump in as well.
