Nintendo is looking at Sony's market dominance and a resurgent Xbox slowly taking up more space in the console vertical. And while Nintendo still boasts a strong catalog of games for the Switch and Switch 2 audience, new titles are coming this June.
We take a look at 10 of them here.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (June 3, Switch 2)
One of the most technically demanding RPGs of this generation, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is Square Enix's second chapter of the remake trilogy.
This release will truly test the hardware capabilities of the Switch 2, with the game featuring a visually delicate cinematic storyline, rapidly reactive gameplay, and an open-zone exploration theme.
The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales (June 18, Switch 2)
A new IP, The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales, is far from a niche indie title. Nintendo is hyping it up as a major addition to the adventure category.
The game will involve a combat and story-heavy arc and includes time travel. Players can control Elliot, the protagonist, who is accompanied by Faie, his fairy companion.
Star Fox (June 25, Switch 2)
This is a modern reboot of Star Fox 64 for Switch 2 and continues the popular Star Fox franchise even further. Quite like Xbox has underlined its intentions to revive legacy gaming franchises, this is believed to be Nintendo's attempt at seeing how viable the Star Fox franchise is in the current era.
Solarpunk (June 8, Switch 2)
A feel-good futuristic game design and world is at the base of Solarpunk, with survival still the main goal. While many titles have gone the dark route in terms of futuristic design, Solarpunk pays a visit to the other side of the coin, as many hopefuls would want the future to look like.
The gameplay will involve renewable technology at its core, and Solarpunk promises to be an indie game to watch out for this June.
eFootball: Kick-Off! (June 3, Switch 2)
Everyone is looking to capitalize on the frenzy of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and Nintendo is joining the race this June. Originally known as PES, eFootball: Kick-Off! brings the world of soccer to Switch 2, and will feature national teams and an online multiplayer mode that promises to cater to soccer fans worldwide.
Unrailed 2: Back on Track (June 11, Switch and Switch 2)
A co-op game, Unrailed 2: Back on Track, is quite literally a title that puts you in the middle of the world of railways. Build, Maintain, Repair, and Replace Trains and Tracks along with your friends in what is a set recipe for some wholesome, harmless fun.
Imagine the Undercooked franchise, but the restaurant frenzy is replaced by the world of trains and transport. This will be available on both Switch and Switch 2.
Wanderstop (June 23, Switch 2)
Another management simulator, Wanderstop, puts you into the shoes of a tea shop owner who is a former warrior. Run your business calmly while serving and interacting with incoming customers, each with a tale to tell.
You can compare the non-chaotic tonality of Wanderstop to Stardew Valley, and fans are already hyped for the game's release on Switch 2.
to a T (June 11, Switch 2)
One of the most bizarre premises of the game, the storyline revolves around a 13-year-old boy who is stuck in a T-pose forever, or so it seems right now. The episodic story follows the boy as he fits into the world and discovers a new sense of self.
Get ready to laugh out loud while playing this comical and creative adventure, which is sure to tickle a few feathers in the Switch 2 community with its quirkiness.
Tetris: The Grand Master 4 - Absolute Eye (June 4, Switch)
Normally an arcade-exclusive and widely respected Tetris sub-series, the upcoming Switch release is heavily anticipated by Nintendo fans, who can finally play high-octane Tetris that actually proves challenging to conquer.
It will differ in some aspects from the version released on Steam.
Denshattack! (June 17, Switch 2)
The in-your-face, anime-style, high-impact visuals and dialogue are already a hit with fans, and Denshattack! hasn't even been released yet.
The June 17 release is gaining traction quickly because of its combat mechanics, game design, and anime-inspired visuals.
