Steam to Add 7 Free-to-Keep Games Before May 2026 Ends

The final week of May is turning into a busy one for PC gamers. Steam users are about to get seven more free-to-keep games, allowing gamers to add them to their Steam libraries permanently.

According to GameRant, the month-end promotions include a mix of indie releases, smaller multiplayer titles, and simulator games.

Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War stands out as the biggest title of the seven. The turn-based 4X strategy game lets players control factions like the Space Marines, Orks, Necrons, and Astra Militarum while battling for dominance on a hostile planet filled with environmental hazards, dangerous wildlife, and randomized battlefields.

Unlike traditional 4X games, Gladius focuses far more on constant warfare and expansion than diplomacy. The strategy title has maintained a steady player base since its 2018 debut. It is available for free until May 28th.

Another one of the bigger titles includes Car Mechanic Simulator 2018. The game allows you to repair, test, sell, and modify cars through a detailed garage management system.

This genre continues to maintain a strong audience on Steam. The title is frequently cited as a benchmark for the garage management genre. The promotion on this game ends on May 27th.

Five More Steam Games Are Also Going Free Before May Ends

The remainder of the lineup includes smaller indie games and multiplayer-focused titles. These include Bunny Hurling, Drift86, IQ Under Construction, Bunny Guys!, and Moonrise Fall.

Bunny Hurling starts as a hunting game where players catch rabbits and then catapult them into a castle. It then evolves into a horror-like game as the the game progresses. The game promotion ends on May 25th.

Bunny Guys! includes course challenges built around survival rounds with you as a humanoid rabbit trying to climb dangerous structures filled with traps and obstacles. Essentially a PvP game, players try to sabotage each other, currently available for free till May 29th.

If you are a fan of lightweight gaming and cars, Drift86 is the game for you. It centers around Japanese arcade-style drifting with multiplayer support.

Taking things towards a more co-op experience, IQ Under Construction is a climbing game that leans more into puzzle-solving mechanics. Players are connected through a mysterious energy that forces them to coordinate movements, giving a small-scale indie experience with a hint of multiplayer.

Finally, with Moonrise Fall, players get a mystery-focused exploration experience, where they control a young lost child in a supernatural forest. Players must use photography, observation, and puzzle-solving to progress through the world.

With only a limited claim period available, the seven-game giveaway lineup is expected to attract another surge of Steam users before the month ends. While four of the games are already available for free, the remaining three are expected to follow soon.
