This September is packed with upcoming launch on the 24th. Multiple studios are publishing games and sequels with respectively varied genres. The games are Control Resonant (Remedy Entertainment), Silent Hill: Townfall (Konami) and Total War: Warhammer III – Lords of the End Times (Creative Assembly).

Silent Hill: Townfall

As per PC Gamer, this game is one of the horror games that are the most effective. Silent Hall is developed by Screen Burn Studio with co-publishing of Konami and Annapurna Interactive (Konami). This is also the third Silent Hall game in three years while being the first one to fully provide immersive first person gameplay. 

Up until March this year, the Silent Hill has sold over 17.1 million with physical copies for this game only being available for PS5. This game is heavily stealth focused because ammo is very much scarce and melee weapons, do break very fast, making it necessary to work with the stealth mode more than we think (Game Informer). The release for this game in on PS5, Steam, and Epic Games. Furthermore, pre-orders of the Deluxe Edition give 48 hours more of early access (Konami). This game is the first one among the other two games to fully adapt first person gameplay. 

Control Resonant

Annapurna Picture is co-financing as well co-producing this game with Remedy who will be publishing this game and developed by Screen Burn. Control Resonant is a sequel game set in seven years after the original one with the main star being Dylan Faden. Dylan is the brother of Jesse. This one as well includes more melee action while the game is even built around melee. Many believe this change is much closer to the Devil May Cry (Kotaku). 

The game is to be launching on platforms of PS5, Xbox Series XS and PC. For PC, these will be available on Steam and the Epic Games store. Furthermore, the game designer has said that it is not compulsory for players to have completed the original game and they have added a recap in the gameplay to cover that up (TechRadar). However, the reviews seem somewhat split between some finding the combat repetitive and some wholly welcoming the change in the genre (GamesRadar+). 

Lords of the End Times

Lords of the End times is a big news and it is the biggest DLC in the ten-year history of the series (Creative Assembly). However, that is not the biggest news, its that if you buy any part of the DLC, whether its a single lord, can give players access to Immortal Empires campaign and that too without having to own the Total War: Warhammer game. This is a great way to give new players an entry point into the game and attract more audience for the game. 

However, there’s something for non-buyers as well. This DLC comes with the game’s free update which also adds Neferata. Now Neferata is a vampire queen within the game and comes as a Legendary Lord. In addition to this, there are newer game ending alternatives for the older Legendary Lords and victory conditions. The game also rewires the Vampire count and Archaon with this update, pretty legendary if you ask me (Creative Assembly).

Furthermore, EA Sports FC 27 is also launching on PC on the same date with the other platforms getting access on 25th September. But why is it so crowded this week? This is partly due to GTA VI release coming up in November. This gives other publishers a smaller chance to shine before the most awaited arrival of the year.
