The wait for the Rayman fans might be over soon for Ubisoft's next reveal. As per multiple reports, Rayman Legends Retold, a remake or reimagining of the 2013 platformer, is expected to be officially announced within the next week.
The report actually follows a leaked logo of the game that surfaced online recently. Now the leak has also got a strong base after backing by Insider Gaming.
According to Insider Gaming, the leaked branding refers to the project as “Rayman Legends Retold,” which is reportedly the internal Ubisoft project previously known as “Project Steambot.” The outlet also claims that the game is scheduled to launch on October 1, 2026. Ubisoft is reportedly preparing for its announcement, and speculations point towards either Sony’s upcoming State of Play or Summer Game Fest 2026.
The leak originally came through an X user named "asdf." They previously shared accurate materials related to Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced before its reveal.
Apart from the logo, the user claimed to possess additional screenshots, skins, and concept art, although he avoided posting them as the reveal is reportedly close.
Rayman Legends Retold is reportedly going to be more than a basic visual upgrade. Insider NateTheHate claimed on ResetEra that the remake will include “new content and more."
It might also feature "2.5D with some 3D sections." If the claims turn out to be true, then it will mark the first time the Rayman franchise has leaned into 3D gameplay elements since 2003’s Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc.
Ubisoft has already given us a slight hint when it released Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition earlier in 2026. Now, it's the upcoming showcases that will prove whether these leaks are accurate.
Rumored State of Play Reveal Could Finally Confirm Ubisoft’s Rayman Revival
With the leaks surrounding the internet, the upcoming PlayStation State of Play is going to be the perfect stage for the grand reveal.
The showcase is scheduled for June 2 within this week itself and is expected to feature more than an hour of announcements and updates from third-party publishers.
This theory might become true as Rayman: 30th Anniversary Edition was also announced during a previous State of Play presentation. Credible insiders have suggested that Ubisoft might make a return just for the official unveiling of Rayman Legends Retold.
Ubisoft has also been pushing to revive dormant franchises recently. And that is why the Rayman saga is not sounding "too good to be true."
The franchise has remained in hibernation for over a decade now, after the release of Rayman Legends. Reports of the reboot first surfaced years ago. But uncertainty grew earlier in 2026 when Ubisoft canceled multiple projects during one of its restructuring phases.
Still, Rayman Legends Retold survived those cancellations. And now it does look like the highly anticipated reboot is finally coming.
