New Reported Minecraft Mob 'Blub': Details and Release Information

Another addition to the list of Minecraft mobs seems to be on the way. The upcoming release has been leaked in a manner nobody had expected.

Hallmark has included Minecraft mob-themed ornaments in their 2026 Keepsake Dream Book. One particular ornament has caught the eye.

The 'Minecraft Blub Ornament' appeared on Hallmark.com with a price tag of $22.99. Interestingly, it falls in line with other ornaments like the 'Minecraft Allay Ornament' listed, with Allay being a passive, flying mob in the game world.

Mojang is yet to confirm the addition of Blub to the list of mobs. However, this falls in line with the fact that the developers consistently keep adding mobs to keep giving the community something new to enjoy.

For now, the image is just a silhouette. According to the details listed on the Hallmark website, the Christmas tree ornament will be available on October 10 this year, which coincides with the Fall updates, wherein mob voting usually decides the new mob before it was scrapped in 2024.

The Minecraft Blub Release Timeline Is Not Official Yet

While Hallmark has supposedly leaked an upcoming Blub mob, there is still no clear picture about when it might be added to the game.

The listing description states, "Bring the block-based world of Minecraft to your holiday celebrations. Fans of the popular video game will love to add this Christmas tree ornament to their collection as they explore and create in the newest version of the pixelated-style game."

Mohjang has recently underlined its intentions to bring out updates more frequently to continuously pump out new stuff for the Minecraft enthusiasts.

Tiny Takeover dropped in March, and Chaos Cubed is slated for release this summer. Mohjang explained that their new Year-Based Versioning will help them pump out more content.

So while the listing states it will be available from October 10, Minecraft is likely to introduce the new mob before the ornament is up for sale.
