New details about NASCAR 26 are out, and the team at iRacing Studios has confirmed its 18 September 2026 release date. However, some players could get it sooner.

Players who purchase the game's Gold Edition will get early access to the game on September 15, 2026. In 2025, the game released on console first and only came to PC a month later.

However, the 2026 edition will see a simultaneous release across platforms. This is just one of the few upgrades the upcoming game will bring to the series.

New features were also revealed by the July 22, 2026 episode of iRacing Studios' Dev Diary.

One of its most interesting additions is the inclusion of the Chase format seen in its real-life counterpart. The format will be a part of the career mode and seasons.

However, there's also a standalone mode where players can pick 16 drivers and participate in the last 10 races of the season.

Additionally, NASCAR 26 will feature a Dynamic Track.

In real-life, a track is fresh before a race wears it down and covers it in burnt rubber that comes from the wheels. The next time drivers race on it, everything feels a bit different.

This is exactly how players should expect the track to behave in the upcoming game. When you start a race fresh, the track will be green (unused).

After a few laps, once the cars wear the track down, its physical conditions will change, forcing players to adapt.

This added sense of realism is only improved by AI drivers having the ability to DNF.

Pre-orders for the game are set to kick off on July 29, 2026, and a new gameplay trailer will be released on the same day.

Other NASCAR 26 details revealed previously

Much of the hype surrounding NASCAR 26 was around its cover featuring Cup Series champion Kyle Larson.

However, there are other features that the developers have announced previously, as explained by Traxion's article.

Firstly, it is confirmed to include the Qualcomm Circuit at Naval Base Coronado. It is the first racetrack on an active US Naval Base where the NASCAR San Diego Weekend race took place starting June 19, 2026.

The track will be included in the game's base version so players won't have to pay extra to acquire it.

More importantly, the developers confirmed that the upcoming game's online multiplayer will feature cross-platform play. Therefore, PC players will be able to compete against console users.

The feature was largely missing from previous entries.
