MrBeast Video Editor Suspended After Kalshi Insider Trading Fiasco

Shortly after Amazon's MrBeast game show, Beast Games made headlines after concluding its second season, one of Best Industries' video editors has landed in hot water.
Beast Industries publicly supported the prediction market platform, Kalshi's action regarding the employee. Kalshi flagged editor Artem Katur for conducting "near-perfect" trading on markets with low odds of success.
He reportedly used his insider knowledge to make predictions on what would happen in MrBeast’s videos.
Kaptur got fined $20,000 and earned a two-year suspension from Kalshi. This came after the company opened 200 investigations aimed at finding potential violations over the last year.
Beast Industries welcomed Kalshi’s probe. The spokesperson for MrBeast said, "We welcome Kalshi and hopefully others in the space also taking this issue seriously, but it only works if they are willing to communicate their findings.”
Talking to Decrypt, the spokesperson refused to comment further on the situation. However, the firm claimed that they have “no tolerance for this behavior.”
Bobby DeNault, the man leading Kalshi’s enforcement, said, "We're committed to deterring and finding the bad actors, manipulators, and those who willingly cheat."
Meanwhile, an X account potentially claiming to be Kaptur made a few statements.
What did the alleged MrBeast Employee Say?
In a now-deleted social media post, Kaptur (or someone claiming to be him) described the action as “stupid, shortsighted, and a violation of the trust” that the company placed in him.
“I am not saying that excuses what I did,” the social media user claimed. “I am saying that being made an example of in a space where the rules are still being written is a deeply disorienting experience.” read the post.
Meanwhile, DeNault added on Wednesday that, "No financial exchange is immune from bad actors. Not stock exchanges, not banks, not prediction markets."
According to reports, Kalshi found that Kaptur made a $4,000 wager on MrBeast’s videos and referred the editor’s conduct to CFTC.
