Lucky Goal Is Free on Epic Games Store — Limited-Time Offer

Mar 29, 2026, 4:59 PM CUT

It looks like Epic Games isn't done giving away free games to users yet, as after the giveaways of Hyper Echelon and Havendock, another title is now available as a freebie.

A soccer game called Lucky Goal is up for grabs on the Epic Games Store till March 29. Epic always runs free giveaways to promote its digital store and has also made changes to its publishing restrictions. This allows companies to give away freebies on their own without first discussing it with Epic Games.

Indie developer Woondas has surprised us by using this strategy, giving away Lucky Goal, an arcade-style third-person football game that features unpredictable physics.

Players can play in multiple arenas and need to outscore their opponents to win, with arenas built on other sports such as basketball, darts, ice hockey, and more, similar to Rocket League.

Its weird game mechanics complement its multiplayer environment, which has two modes to play: Classic and Mordor. In Classic, two teams with three players each compete in a set timeline. In Mordor, four teams of three compete, with each having a set number of lives. When a team concedes a goal, it costs them a life.

Apart from Lucky Goal, another free game is on the market currently.

Epic's Freebies Carnival

While Lucky Goal adds to the esteemed collection of giveaways Epic Games Store has to offer, another title has its ropes loosened up for players to pull and claim it.

Symmetry, a management simulator, lets players rebuild a ship that crashes and leaves people stranded on a frozen planet. Players also need to manage survivors' needs, such as hunger, mental health, and stamina.

If players beat the game, a new survival mode unlocks for them to play. Along with Hyper Echelon and Havendock, Epic Games Store now has four freebies available right now, with a combined value of $49.96.

The future weekly freebie includes Doborog Games' Clone Drone in the Danger Zone. This one is a hack-and-slash title that permits you to really smash through some robots, inch by inch.
