One Nike collab sample was so rare it never reached a single retailer. Collectors pay thousands of Dollars for Nike collaborations with brands like Off-White and Louis Vuitton, given their quality and rarity. This unreleased piece is among the rarest.

Known reseller PG Knows uploaded a video showcasing an unreleased sample of PlayStation x Nike Air Force 1 Low shoes. Created in 2024, the sample recreates the original 2006 pair's colorway.

It was rumored to be re-released in 2025; however, Nike reportedly shut the rumours down. Nike has not announced plans for a future release.

The sample shown by PG Knows carries the traditional blue and black theme of Sony's console. It bolsters the instantly recognizable white Nike logo along with purple laces.

It also features a glossy black front, blue-colored soles, complete with the iconic PlayStation logo at the heel.

Rarity is the primary draw here. The original 2006 release is now a decade old, and no official re-release has hit the market. Since they've not been officially re-released en masse, you can only find them in secondary markets.

This means approaching resellers just like PG Knows. Originally, the shoes must have cost you a few hundred Dollars at retail price.

Previous StockX listing data shows that these shoes command $3,000–$6,000, depending on condition.

The quality of the pair also makes a huge difference. These are especially attractive for collectors. Moreover, fans of PlayStation may also be the potential target customer base.

The timing of this reveal is interesting given PlayStation's recent controversy, which may impact fan interest.

PlayStation receives backlash for its choice to end disc production

Many of PlayStation's fans have turned against the video game giant after it announced on July 1, 2026, that physical disc production for new PS5 games would stop starting in January 2028.

Now, every post by Sony gets comments regarding the issue. Fans have consistently urged the company to continue supporting physical discs.

A trailer for the console's upcoming exclusive, Marvel's Wolverine, also saw hundreds of comments relating to the disc crisis. In fact, a petition against Sony's decision named "Don't Kill the Disc" has received over 300,000 signatures.

Meanwhile, PlayStation has been radio-silent about the issue since the announcement. Former employee and God of War Laufey writer Alanah Pearce claimed that employees were on strict social media guidelines about the situation.

Many fans have cancelled their PS Plus subscriptions and vowed to stop interacting with PlayStation if they don't reverse their decision.
