How to Find Every Fish in Crimson Desert

Mar 24, 2026, 1:59 AM CUT

Finding all the 50+ species of fish in Crimson Desert's massive world can seem impossible. But several clever shortcuts can reveal every fishing spot on your map.

Fishing is a very efficient way to maintain your in-game stamina, earn quick money (from coppers to even silvers in some cases), and complete early missions like "Annabella's Request".

At the Nas River Fishing Dock, Southeast of Hernand(or any other provisional shop in the game with fish on sale), hover over the fish for sale marked with question marks. These are fish you have not yet discovered.

This instantly grants you "Knowledge" of the fish, revealing their species, size, and more information about the fish, as well as exact spawn locations, on your map.

But say you are on the hunt for a specific type of fish, like the Northern Pike or the Crimson Opaleye. Then you can walk up to any cooking pot in Pywel and quickly scan through the available recipes. This basically tricks your system and gives you all the information you need to find the fish you want

Once you have unlocked the “knowledge” of a specific type of fish, simply open the Aquatic Creatures menu in your Knowledge tab. From here, you can open the world map to track the location where that specific type of fish is usually found.

Another way is to zoom in on the world map, where you'll see peculiar fish icons across lakes, streams, and rivers. These lead you to fishing locations to find and catch fish found around that spot.

The 5 Legendary Fish And How To Find Them in Crimson Desert

You will discover dozens of standard types of fish while exploring, but the real prizes are the 5 Legendary fish.

Here is where to track down the big five:

1. Golden Tench: Check the stream southwest of the Mountain of Frozen Souls.

2. Coelacanth: It is found to the west of the Cliff of Despair in Deleysia.

3. Golden Carp: It is found on a small lake to the east of the Argent Peaks in Pailune.

4. Clockwork Fish: It is located on a small lake to the southeast of Tashkalp.

5. Golden Coelacanth: Fish near the waterfall south of Forebearer’s Barrens.

However, you will need to unlock the Porin Fishing Rod through the Research System at the Pororin Forest Guardians' base to catch these legendary fish.

Now that you know how to find every single fish in Crimson Desert, which Legendary catch is going to be your first one? Are you willing to go on a mission to find every single fish in the game? Let us know in the comments.
