Fans of the Invincible universe have a chance to step into the fight. A free open beta for the new game, Invincible VS, is coming soon for a limited time.
Quarter Up didn’t just come up with an engaging storyline for Invincible VS. The developers are also releasing a 3v3 tag team mode in the Open Beta. And gamers can try it out for free from April 9 to April 11, 2026.
You can only try it for free if you have a PlayStation 5 or an Xbox Series X|S. For PC gamers, the 3v3 tag-team mode will be available upon release.
Players simply have to visit their preferred platform’s store and download the Invincible VS Open Beta during the mentioned dates. There’s no need to sign up or register anywhere. Just download the game launcher and wait for the Open Beta to go live.
The servers will remain open till 9 PM PT on April 11, 2026. But there’s another surprise for fans attending the SXSW in Austin, Texas, on March 12 to March 14.
The visitors will get to try out a special version of Invincible VS Beta before anyone else. All they need to do is stop by the Allen’s Love Shack, which is “conveniently located next to Burger Mart.”
And what can players expect from the Open Beta?
Key Attractions of Invincible VS Open Beta
Players can try on a total of 10 characters in the free beta. The list includes Allen the Alien, Omni-Man, Robot, Monster Girl, Bulletproof, Thula, Rex Splode, Battle Beast, Atom Eve, and, of course, Invincible himself.
Executive producer Mike Willette told PlayStation Blog, “Specifically, it’s going to be focused on online play, and ranked play. That’s because we know it’s going to be open to everybody."
"So once you go through some placement matches, you’re going to start fighting against people that are closer to your rank. The goal is to, obviously, test things out, but also to get you grouped with people that are of like skill level," he added.
With the 3v3 tag team options, players can even swap characters during the middle of a combination attack and extend attacks during battles.
But in case you can't tune in during the free Open Beta period, you can wait for the official release on 30 April 2026.
