It seems that Rockstar's biggest project, Grand Theft Auto 6's pre-order dates, have been leaked, all thanks to an email by Best Buy, and the pre-orders are allegedly going to start by the end of this month itself.
The news has come via a report from Insider Gaming. The leaked pre-order dates of GTA 6 were revealed via an official email sent to affiliates. The mail mentions a GTA 6 pre-order in the "Campaign" section, with the pre-order from May 18 to May 21, 2026, offering 5% off.
The alleged pre-order is set five months before the initial release of the game, on November 19, which, if it is true, could potentially be a relief for the players who were worried about another delay for the title.
An insider on X, @GTA6Alerts, has also revealed that many users have, in fact, gotten this email, attaching screenshots and a screen-recorded video of the email.
Pricing speculation has also eased concerns among fans. Instead of the higher price tag many feared, current claims point toward the game launching at a price of roughly $69.99 or £69.99. A 5% discount on that could certainly be lucrative for the highly anticipated title.
Fans have been eagerly waiting for the third trailer of the game, with the first and second trailers now having surpassed over 450 million views on YouTube alone.
GTA VI has been surrounded by many other rumors and leaks since it was confirmed by Rockstar Games.
GTA VI Pricing and Project Rumors Continue to Swirl
Since the announcement of the game by Rockstar, GTA VI has been in the news, being the most anticipated project of all time.
Recently, reports surfaced about Rockstar Games' employees back in Bengaluru, India, having a hard time working as they were serving overtime for the making of the "most anticipated entertainment project in the world," which is likely to be GTA VI.
Several analysts have also argued about the cost of the upcoming title, with Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter suggesting that Rockstar Games could charge a $100 price tag for the upcoming game.
Additionally, Bank of America suggested that the price for the game should be $80 to help the struggling industry.
Moreover, fans were worried if Rockstar was going to delay the game one more time, having delayed it two times already since the announcement, to which Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick replied lightheartedly.
"I think a lot of people will be calling in sick on November 19," he stated.
While these details remain unconfirmed, they offer the clearest timeline for the game yet. But on the other hand, the gaming industry lives on these leaks and rumors, and one such alleged rumor of the pre-order date has taken a step forward in this case.
