A modder has squeezed Rockstar Games' iconic Trilogy into one game. So if you're a fan of the original 3D games, the mod might pique your interest.
DryxioGTA's mod allows you to essentially play GTA 3 and Vice City as mini-games inside GTA San Andreas without losing control over CJ.
In the demonstration, DryxioGTA (as CJ) walks to a TV setup installed in Grove Street. Then the player is asked to pick between GTA Vice City and GTA III.

Once the player makes a decision, the chosen game starts playing on the TV with full player controls.
However, you don't enter said game completely. Instead, you play it on the small TV screen while the world of GTA San Andreas continues to persist.
If you press the F10 key, you'll get control over CJ while the mini-game continues to run. Pressing it again will give you control over the mini-game while GTA San Andreas continues to run uninterrupted.
In another video, DryxioGTA went one step ahead. The modder showcased how you can play GTA Vice City within GTA III, which is already playing inside GTA San Andreas.
"GTA SA, GTA III and Vice City are all running live inside the same process. VC renders into a GTA III texture, and GTA III renders into a GTA SA texture. Every layer is playable in real time." Reads the description of one of DryxioGTA's videos.
In each of the games, the protagonist walks up to a screen, and the other game simply becomes accessible in-world. It's almost as if the full titles were made into playable mini-games.
GTA San Andreas gets more iconic with every new mod
GTA San Andreas might be the most modded game in the franchise. Even in 2026, player mods continue to add creative touches to the game.
In previous versions of DryxioGTA's mods, players could fully enter GTA Vice City and GTA III from San Andreas. His work has now evolved into mini-games playable in-world.
Some mods, such as total conversion mods and visual overhauls, make the game look strikingly different. Meanwhile, others incorporate new assets and skins into the game.
These are created by passionate individuals who belong to the game's massive modding community, but this isn't new. GTA San Andreas has had mods since its early days.
Players have added mythical creatures like Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster to the game. Meanwhile, comic book characters like the Hulk and Ghost Rider have also often been added as playable characters.
Evidently, there's always a GTA San Andreas mod for everyone.
