In Fortnite, getting shot might not mean game over. Right now, you could just slap down a reverse and send the damage right back.

Mattel Digital Studios and Look North World have collaborated to create a game based on the beloved card game UNO. The game, called UNO Royale, was created with Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN).

UNO Royale is created as a digital experience. Players create or enter a room to play a six-player UNO game with their friends or other players. Whoever wishes to join the island can do so with the code: 8269-3234-9999.

The game, based on Mattel's IP, is part of Mattel Digital Studios' plan to move from physical play to virtual play by creating an interactive digital gaming experience for its fans.

Partnering with leading digital developers like EPIC, Mattel hopes to expand the UNO experience of its fans across digital worlds. And what better place to start than Fortnite, which still gets one to three million players regularly.

Apart from UNO Royale, Mattel's IP also developed Masters of the Universe: He-Man Heroes on Fortnite, and the game that garnered 500 million visits, Barbie Dreamhouse Tycoon.

How to play UNO Royale on Fortnite?

UNO Royale mixes UNO's card strategy with Fortnite-style competition. Here, the players collect special Loadout Cards to build a custom deck. They can even design bizarre gameplay and visuals of their choice.

The game has four tourneys, and players who win the game earn new card skins. The prize pool grows with the number of players in the group.

Each player also gets a personal Card Dojo section, where their customized cards are displayed. You can either play the classic UNO game or create one with a fresh twist, or play multiplayer fun with friends. UNO Royale is part of Mattel’s agenda to make "game night bigger, bolder, and more interactive."

Besides Fortnite, Mattel has teamed up with another interactive gaming giant, Roblox, to create UNO: Bridge Clash on Roblox. It's a fusion of the classic card game and an obstacle course competition.

To win the game, players need to match cards to build bridges and get to their team's golden UNO card. But the catch is the disruptive WILD power-ups. Once activated, it blows up bridges, blocks opponents, and wreaks havoc all around.
