5 beginner tips for playing High on Life 2
Explore the city
The radar will help you find enemies and Luglox containers. Besides finding NPCs to spend time with, by exploring the city, you will be able to find hidden puzzles that will earn you currency, upgrade rewards, and new cosmetics.
Guzzle down the Bounty Hunter juice
In every level of the game, you will find vending machines filled with Bounty Hunter juice. Hit the special ability button and drink it as soon as you find it to refill your weapon's special meter. It will unlock to stay active during boss fights or when dealing with huge enemy hordes.
Know about Health Recovery
Whenever you feel like you are losing a fight, take a step back for a short while; it will regenerate energy. Also, whenever you defeat an enemy, they will drop shield capsules; collect them to safeguard your energy.
Pro tip: Whenever you defeat any enemy using Knifey, for a brief period, you are invincible. This is a great time for you to regain your lost energy or avoid getting defeated by a boss.
Keep buying upgrades
After clearing a certain part of the game, you will be eligible for getting upgrades. Keep getting gun upgrades, health upgrades, shield upgrades, reloads, and cooldowns to improve your game. And don't worry about money, a Gene will appear to give you money for a particular upgrade if it's needed to progress in the game.
Don't sleep on the Gatlian special abilities
The secondary, special abilities your weapons have in the game are incredibly underrated. If you use them against the correct enemies, fights become a lot more easier.
