Some fans on the r/XboxGamePass subreddit appear pleased with the upcoming XBOX Game Pass lineup, with several highly anticipated titles from beloved franchises arriving over the next few months.

The recent XBOX Games Showcase revealed more about titles such as Gears of War: E-Day and Halo: Campaign Evolved. Both games are coming out in 2026 and belong to popular franchises.

Gears of War: E-Day will also be an XBOX exclusive, which some reports suggest was a last-minute decision.

Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is also releasing on August 27, 2026. It's a prequel to the original Plague Tale games and is centered on the adventures of Sophia. The character has previously acted as a mentor to Amicia in A Plague Tale: Requiem.

Beast of Reincarnation is the earliest game coming to XBOX Game Pass, releasing on August 3, 2026. The ARPG lets players engage in melee combat while commanding the blighted dog, Koo, to fight enemies in his own way, creating a multi-dimensional combat experience in real time.

This isn't all. The brand-new Fable game is also set to be released in February 2027. It's the first entry in the franchise since 2012. The game has emerged years after the original developer, Lionhead Studios, closed and the cancellation of Fable Legends.

Fans have many titles to look forward to in the next eight months. Other games such as Stranger Than Heaven, Minecraft Dungeons II, and Persona 4 Revival will also be available on XBOX Game Pass.

Despite the recent memo from CEO Asha Sharma, the immediate future of XBOX looks impressive for a few months, at least, from the fans' perspective.

Fans Praise XBOX Game Pass for Its New Lineup

One fan addressed this directly, saying, "I didn’t think I’d see the day I get to play a new(ish with Halo) Halo, Gears and Fable again in the space of a year. Plus they all look great, can’t wait."

Another fan was pleased to see the new Fable: "The new fable brings so much joy to my heart. I enjoyed the OG game so much as a kid."

One fan had their subscription routine sorted, as they said, "Im going to Sub for a month on August 28 and play Plague Tale and Halo."

Finally, one fan admitted to looking forward to most of the titles. "What’s cool is that other than arguably Minecraft Dungeons I have genuine anticipation for every one of these games."

The upcoming lineup spans multiple genres and franchises, giving XBOX Game Pass subscribers several major releases to look forward to over the next eight months.
