ARC Raiders has sold 16 million copies worldwide, according to publisher Nexon. The game continues to engage players 6 months after its release. Having held players' attention for approximately 1.5 billion hours, the studio is now planning to move forward with two new projects.
"From Embark Studios: Two new games in the early stage of development," the financial report read.
Apart from this, the report does not give fans any details about said projects, but publisher Nexon has a plethora of other games planned.
This includes Project T, based on the web novel Overgear and Azur Promilia, an action fantasy RPG for PC and mobile.
At the same time, it was revealed that ARC Raiders is set to introduce new content in late 2026. This update is expected to shake up how the game is played and improve player engagement.
ARC Raiders October 2026 Update Revealed in New Report
ARC Raiders is set to make a massive change in its content release strategy. From May 2026 onwards, the game will only have 2 updates a year, and a dedicated live-service team will handle smaller patches.
Embark Studios recently announced their next big update, the Frozen Trail, coming in October 2026.
It's been dubbed the developer's most ambitious ARC Operation in the game's history. The Frozen Trail will introduce new ARC enemies with unique designs and behaviors.
It will also introduce the game's largest map yet, as well as weapons, tools, cosmetics, and more. The upcoming major ARC Raiders update will make additional changes to the Skill Tree.
It's basically a massive free content drop that also shakes up the meta to challenge players on a new geographical frontier.
Fans can expect similar updates in the future with a deeper layer of storytelling. The Frozen Trails begins answering questions about the ARC's origin.
The next big update only helps players begin uncovering the mysteries of the Rust Belt. Future updates will likely continue this quest for the truth about the ARC.
Embark Studios has found a ton of success with their extraction shooter and with The Finals. Therefore, they've created a fandom that may just embrace their next few titles all the same.
