Devs Assure Gamers Over Massive Concerns with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Over Switch Release

Fan concerns over Final Fantasy VII Rebirth's rumored Switch 2 port have grown loud enough for Square Enix to respond.
The game's director, Naoki Hamaguchi, has stepped forward to address fears that the game will be a scaled-down experience on Nintendo's next-gen hardware
Hamaguchi assured that the Switch 2 version of the game will give players the same experience as any other cutting-edge platform.
According to Nintendo’s official site, “The Nintendo Switch 2 versions are being developed in a way that keeps the gameplay experience pretty much exactly the same as all the other platforms, so I hope this reassures Nintendo Switch 2 players.”

There's little reason to doubt Hamaguchi's words as well, considering the brilliant Cyberpunk 2077 Switch 2 port that Nintendo brought to the platform after closely working with developers CDPR.
Hamaguchi emphasized that he didn’t personally support the idea of creating different versions of a single game based on hardware differences.
He confirmed that parallel development for both Rebirth and Part 3 is in progress for Switch 2. He also clarified that Part 3 is already in a playable state.
A Message to New and Existing Final Fantasy Fans
Speaking with Nintendo, Naoki Hamaguchi said that players who have never played or heard of Final Fantasy VII can easily recognize characters like Cloud and Sephiroth from Super Smash Bros.
He further said that the remake helps new players understand the story thanks to the "Streamlined Progression" (essentially built-in cheats like Max HP/MP), so new fans can catch up on the story quickly before Rebirth and Part 3 arrive.
So, if the director is to be beleived his team is working to deliver a great Final Fantasy experience for players on the Nintendo Switch 2. Are you excited?
