Ubisoft is bringing back one of its most popular titles from the Assassin's Creed franchise. Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced will be a revamped and remastered version of the cult hit.

The major developer has revealed further details about the platforms it will be releasing on, with the game set to be available on the popular gaming console Steam Deck.

"Take on the role of Edward Kenway on his journey from privateer to skilled Assassin and his fight against the Templars," the Steam page info reads. "You’ll relive Edward’s story, but in a world that‘s more immersive and realistic than ever before thanks to the latest technology and a team with a great passion for the game."

The announcement page on Steam narrates the story and provides insights about what to expect from the July 9 release.

While the spec requirements point to the need for a high-end rig to run the game in its full glory, the mention of Steam Deck specifically in the list of release platforms hints that the game will be optimized to meet the limited specs before release.

The legacy Assassin's Creed Black Flag is still available on PC (Steam, Ubisoft Store), Consoles (Amazon, PlayStation Store), and even Nintendo Switch.

The Resynced version is already available for pre-purchase, with the Standard Edition priced at $59.99 on Steam. But that is not all.

Which Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Versions Can You Buy?

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is available in three editions. Besides the Standard Edition, fans can buy the Deluxe Edition. Priced at $69.99, the edition includes two digital cosmetic packs: a Character Pack and a Naval Pack.

The Master Assassin Character Pack will include a sword, a pistol, and a trinket, all coming with a unique perk, along with a costume for Edward. The Master Assassin Naval Pack will equip users with a sail set, ship's pet, crew attire, wheel, figurehead, and hull trim.

A third unique version, the Collector's Edition, is also available for $199.99. The Collector's Edition will include all perks of the Deluxe Edition, and also offers users several physical 'collectible' items.

Customers who purchase the Collector's Edition will receive a 31cm Edward Kenway statue, leather logbook, metal brooch, exclusive steelbook, cloth map, and sea shanty sheet.

Along with these perks, pre-purchasing any edition comes with a bonus.

Users who pre-purchase any edition will receive Blackbeard's Crimson Pack. This digital pack includes a pistol, a sword, and a costume for Edward.
