A Warhammer 40K Video Game Is Free on Epic Games Store Until June 18

Warhammer 40K is one of the most well-liked franchises of all time. From the strategy tabletop game to the numerous action-adventure titles, fans have a lot to pick from. Now there's one they can get for free.

Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks is available on the Epic Games Store between June 12 and June 18, 2026. It's a combat racing game where teams of eight players race each other to the finish line.

The twist is, you must try to destroy your rival's vehicle before they get to yours. It's a chaotic, team-based game that offers players a variety of vehicles from buggies to helicopters.

Each vehicle offers its own distinct ability, which can be used to focus on either the racing aspect or the combat part of Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks.

One of the game's central features is customization. Players can customize their vehicles with various types of gear. If the standard Kill Konvoy mode feels repetitive, new custom maps are always possible.

The Kustom Rally option allows players to play custom maps created by community members. One can also use the game's 400-plus assets to create their own map with its unique structure, goals, and rules.

Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks is a unique Warhammer game. It's not focused on surreal battle or narrative excellence. Instead, the game prioritizes online multiplayer action.

Without the sale, the base game costs $19.99, as observed on other platforms such as Steam and the XBOX Store. Epic Games users can claim it for free until June 18, 2026. The only requirement is having an Epic Games account.

Other Warhammer Video Games to Try

The Warhammer universe has innumerable games. However, some video games stand out from the rest. One of the most interesting examples is Space Marine 2.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is a third-person shooter. You play as a Space Marine fighting the Tyranids. It has some of the best action in the franchise's history. Furthermore, its PvP modes also remain very entertaining.

It's the perfect game for those looking to get into the combat aspects of the game. Another good title comes from Fatshark in the form of Warhammer Vermintide 2, which is a Warhammer Fantasy title.

The hack-and-slash formula of the game was applauded when it was released.

You can play as one of five characters and fight the rat-like Skaven taking over the world. It's a brutally satisfying title set in a different universe altogether.

On the other hand, the universe also has some strong strategy games, such as Total War: WARHAMMER III and Dawn of War.
