It's time Epic Games pulls off one of the biggest nostalgia trains ever in Fortnite. Just a single teaser, and arguably the most iconic crossover mode is officially coming back in the game.

After close to seven years, the Avengers-themed Endgame LTM is returning to Fortnite. From Thanos to his chaotic battlefield, everything will be back in the spotlight with Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 8.

The confirmation came through a simple post from Fortnite's official X handle, stating "Whatever it takes" and Cap's shield with it. As per the post, this LTM will be available from April 3, 2026, two days after Season 8 begins.

For long-time Fortnite fans, this wasn't just another limited-time mode. This was a defining moment for the fans in the early years, when crossovers didn't become today's norm.

In this mode, players are split into two sides to bring about the endgame battle. One team fought as the Avengers, while the others joined Thanos and his army. The Avengers had to eliminate Thanos and his forces, while the opposing side hunted the Infinity Stones.

The large-scale battle was something fans had never witnessed at that time, which was based on a completely different rhythm. Superhero weapons and respawn mechanics made things more special. It was truly a chaotic yet cinematic experience.

As of now, we don't have details regarding this returning LTM anymore. However, there is already speculation about whether the mode will stay true to its original version or include newer Marvel content. Given the OG branding, a faithful recreation seems more likely.

Fortnite OG Season 8 Is Bringing a Lot More Than the Endgame LTM

The Endgame LTM might be the star of the show. But Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 8 is way more than that. Alongside the LTM, there is a lot of classic content to look for.

The update brings back iconic pirate-themed locations like Lazy Lagoon, Sunny Steps, and the Volcano. Talking about cosmetics, the OG Pass is bringing back remixed versions of classic skins Luxe, Blackheart, and Hybrid.

Players will also get throwback weapons. From the Flint-Knock Pistol and Shadow Bombs to the Boom Bow, Infantry Rifle, and the classic Pump, Season 8 is going to be a treat for the Fortnite OG fans.

Ongoing content is live to keep things fresh. The Avengers Blitz LTM is already there to offer a faster-paced experience while players wait for Endgame to drop.

Needless to say, Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 8 is not just going to be a simple throwback; it's a complete nostalgia package.
